Been a Few Days…

 I’m back. Time to catch up. We’re in Venice and finally have wi-fi. Just returned to our rooms so the ladies can rest and I can catch up with you all.

So, back to three nights, four days ago……

After leaving Greece and our day at sea, we arrived in Kotar, Montenegro. What a unique city in a beautiful country. Montenegro is below Croatia and above Albania on the Adriatic Sea. It was a beautiful stop. Somehow dear Bonnie got food poisoning/virus that kept her in her room that whole day after double ending the previous night. So, Jennifer and I were on our own. This was our first stop where we had to take small boats from the ship versus walking the plank to dry land. Missed Bonnie but we sure moved faster and climbed higher.  I need to download pictures manually as the syncing isn’t happening so they’ll be in later posts. I’ll simply label them accordingly. 

The next day we arrived in Split, Croatia. As I’ve shared, the internet on the ship sucked so I asked for our money back…little did I know that once they got your $$, they’re not giving it back. So we had ‘ship’s credit”. Because we didn’t want to apply it to Rolex watches or Gucci purses, we bought a tour.

For those who may cruise in the future, never buy a tour from the cruise company for several reasons…1) they cost three/four times what you can schedule for yourself via many apps. 2) you are herded into buses with hundreds of others and given a number sticker for your shirt. 3) you have no idea of what your really getting and 4) you are part of 50 people following a guide with a sign and people are simply rude.

I’m not spending anymore time here. Bottom line, the crowds in Split ruined it for me. This was to be our last stop with the next day’s arrival in Revenna, Italy. More to come. Really sorry about the pictures, I’ll post them prior to writing about our landing in Italy.
