Crossroads
Dear Friends and Family,
Historically, in years gone by writing a blog of our travels has been a pleasure. Who would have believed the internet has failed me. My phone pictures won’t sync with my iPad requiring me to email pictures from my phone then download. The problem is the internet hasn’t allowed me to download to this blog. In addition, not having any internet on the ship required me to use Jenny’s “hotspot” on her phone which only had sporadic service. This has caused me to get behind in my writing as Verona was seven days ago…
Bottom line? This will be my last post.
We’re in Rome for two more night, Copenhagen for one then home sweet home.
This has been such a fun trip. Every aspect was fun. Glad we were able to take Bonnie for the first half. We all got along great. It was different for me to not worry about finances, stock markets, presidential politics or any news from home. I was able to stay in the moment and have attempted to suck life from each one. Jennifer is an absolute terrific travel partner. We laughed a lot, never had a cross word though all the tiny issues one has when traveling internationally. She is my very best friend.
Haven’t watched one hour of tv. Have walked 5-7 miles daily. Consumed some of the finest food in my life. Slept like a baby once jet lag was over. Have seen historic sights from 2,000 years ago and viewed art I’d only seen in books.
Tomorrow will be our final day in Italy. I will promise to post many pictures once I get home. Until then,
It’s been real…
Loved reading your posts but will look more forward to hearing all the stories and seeing the pictures in person over a nice meal at home with a cocktail. Safe travels!! ♥️
