Well, it’s 9:30 pm here, nine hours ahead of you. We’re getting a bit tired but have kept the pedal to the metal this entire journey. I’m writing from Florence on our last night here. I have so many observations, thoughts, experiences and information to share with whoever reads this…. I thought I’d begin simply with pictures from our time in Venice. Probably the most beautiful city I’ve ever been in.
After disembarking from our ship in Revenna, Italy, we had a few hours before our train to Venice.
This city is known for its mosaic art in every church. Floors to ceiling.
Left Revenna for Venice, quite a story unto itself but on to pictures.. our first night we had a delicious dinner then headed to the church that supposedly Antonio Vivaldi wrote his “Four Seasons” symphony in. We listened to brilliant musicians play this powerful music, Jennifer secured us front row seats in a sold out performance. Bonnie wept.
Other various shots of Venice. |
